I recently noticed the following search as a referring link to my site:
Show Google Search
I decided to check out the search myself and noticed that directly below me on the results list was a link to UrbanDictionary.com, the term that was linked? Wanged. I have to tell you, I find the definition of this term almost as funny as the word Wang itself. There have been numerous occasions I have seen this happen, both from Penny Arcade, and more frequently from SlashDot. I dream of having enough traffic to have that kind of an impact on sites. Okay, I don't actually dream of that, in fact last night I dreamt I was trapped in a house with an old friend while a dragon tried to chew its way in. Don't worry, eventually the ghost of the house managed to pin the dragon down and we escaped without being eaten, unfortunately, by that point in the dream I was the dragon, and was terribly upset that I had gotten away. Needless to say, my dreams don't make whole hell of a lot of sense.
Ummmm.... Yeah, anyway. Er, speaking of SlashDot... I saw an article over there regarding griefing on Warcraft III servers. It's nice to see a company taking stand on this sort of behavior. Personally I find the behavior fascinating from a distance, and completely aggrivating when I experience it first hand.
For example, when I read something like "The Bad Boys of Cyberspace" I am fascinated by the amount of effort that goes both into being so bad online and into trying to control the people who are. Of course, when I am the victim of a cheat or hack, I rarely feel anything but a burning white hot desire for vengeance... For those of you who really love messing with people I made a couple t-shirts over at CafePress, at least that way when I see you walking around in public wearing them I'll know who to punch...

Carribean Invasion
Nobody knows it yet, but sinister happenings are afoot in the beautiful carribbean islands. I have uncovered a plot that threatens to destroy the free world as we know it, and when the dust settles there will be no more Pina Coladas for us.
Let me start at the beginning... Last Thursday my boss came back from the tropics. He wasn't feeling very well and if I had known then what was about to happen I would have run for the hills. Apparently he brought back some sort of mutant strain of cold or flu that seemed to be specifically targeted towards nerds. Within a few hours I already had the sniffles, by Saturday I felt like I was almost dead, I was aching all over, sniffling, sneezing, the works. I was a pathetic wreck, the kind of flu victim you see on commercials and think, "nobody ever really gets that bad".
Thankfully I managed to outsmart them. You see I have a theory about personal health that is both unorthodox and brilliant... If you never put anything into your body that could possibly be used as food by germs and viruses, then you can't get sick. For example, there is almost zero food value in twinkies, M&M's, Jolt Cola, and McDonalds products. So, if you live almost exclusively on these things then when a virus finds it's way into your body it will find the environment so inhospitable that it will almost immediately pack its bags and move out. For the last few weeks I had been attempting to stick to a good diet and exercise plan, and as such when the Carribbean biological weapon of mass destruction found me it had just enough food to take hold and make me miserable. It is gone now, and I have learned my lesson. For lunch I simply spoon fed myself a bowl of sugar while drinking Tequila and shooting heroin beneath my toenails. I think that should make sure none of those little bastards try this again.
Now I just need to find a way out to the tropics so that I can plan my counter offensive.
